The balance

Win back the bookings that used to be yours.

Over the years, hotels handed their guests to Booking and agencies. In many of the hotels we see, close to 90% of bookings now come through them. We don't propose leaving them. We propose recovering the direct channel step by step, until the hotel brings in about 60% of its bookings itself and the platforms complete the rest. A fairer split.

Today's split is what we see in many hotels, not a measured average. Booking.com sets each property's commission in its contract, usually from 15%; agencies charge their own. For simplicity the example applies one rate to all intermediaries. Move the numbers to your hotel's.

What we do

Your own website, found on Google, that turns visits into direct bookings.

Design, SEO, development and photography, done by the same small studio. So the site, the pictures and the search positioning pull in the same direction: bringing the guest straight to you.

  1. 01

    Design

A site that looks like your place, not a template. Rooms and prices easy to read, the booking button always at hand.

  2. 02

    SEO

Found on Google when people look for where to stay, not only on the platforms. In English and Spanish.

  3. 03

    Development

Fast, light sites that open well on a phone with weak signal, connected to the booking engine you already use.

  4. 04

    Photography

We photograph the rooms, the place and the landscape ourselves. Good pictures are half of a direct booking.

Questions

Do you only work with hotels in Patagonia?

No. We are based in El Chaltén, Patagonia, Argentina, and we work with hotels and tourism businesses anywhere in the world. Everything is done remotely, in English or Spanish, and you always talk directly with us.

Should my hotel leave Booking or Airbnb?

No. They help people who don't know you yet to find you. The goal is that they stop being the main source: more guests booking on your own site, with no commission, and coming back to you directly.

What does a hotel website need to get direct bookings?

It has to load fast on a phone, show the rooms and prices clearly, have good photos and let people book in a few steps. And Google has to find it: when someone searches for where to stay in your area, your site should be there.

What is included?

Design, development, SEO and photography, done by the same small studio, so the site, the pictures and the search positioning work together instead of being three separate jobs.

Who will I work with?

Directly with us. Andes Developers is a small studio, started by Nicolás Paratore in 2019 with his first project, Huerto Canario. We take few projects at a time, so each one gets proper attention.

How long does it take?

Between two weeks and a month from when we have the photos and the content, depending on the size of the hotel and the site.

How much does it cost?

Between USD 1,000 and USD 5,000, depending on the number of rooms, the photo shoot, languages, whether a booking engine is connected and whether you want ongoing SEO. After the free diagnosis we send you a quote for your hotel, split by part.
