Neuquén · Vaca Muerta · Lakes

Hotel web design in Neuquén.

Neuquén is two different businesses: the capital, living off Vaca Muerta work travel, and the lake and mountain towns, living off the seasons. A hotel website has to know which one it's in.

Neuquén city: the guest who comes back

In 2025 hotels in the city of Neuquén ran at 48% to 59% room occupancy every month, according to INDEC: almost no low season. Average stay was 1.6 to 1.9 nights and 91% of nights were Argentine residents. That's work travel: short stays that repeat.

That guest doesn't need convincing about the destination. They need to book fast on a phone, get an invoice, know if there's parking and rebook without searching again. Every time they do it through Booking, the hotel pays commission on a customer who was already theirs.

Hotels in the capital fill far better than the rest: 53% to 61% versus 26% to 33% for cabins, hostels and similar. And pressure keeps building: Añelo doubled its population in two years and chain hotels have been announced near the wells.

San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura: the May trough

In the lake towns the year looks different. San Martín de los Andes went from 68.7% occupancy in January 2025 to 15.2% in May; Villa La Angostura from 67.8% in January to 18.3% in June. January and February alone were over a third of the year's nights, more than winter.

In high season the hotel fills anyway. Where an own website makes the difference is the slow months: low-season offers, long-weekend getaways and showing up when someone searches for a specific detail.

    What people search on Google

Google's suggestions show how travellers choose: cabins in San Martín de los Andes “on the lake”, “with heated pool”, “pet friendly”; Villa La Angostura “lake view”, “centre”, “cheap”; in the capital, hotels “downtown”, “on route 22”. Each of those filters can be a page on your site, and a page is what Google shows.

    • One page for each thing that sets you apart: lake view, pool, pets, parking, close to the centre
    • Spanish first (almost 9 in 10 nights are Argentines), with English and Portuguese for winter
    • Direct booking connected to your engine, with rates on Google Hotels
    • For the capital: two-step booking, invoicing details and corporate rates

Few places to stay have a website

On OpenStreetMap, the open map many apps use, there are 680 places to stay in the province and only 154 have a website linked: 23%. In Villa Pehuenia, 2 of 63. It isn't an exact measure of who has a site, but it shows how many properties depend on being found inside a platform.

    Short-term rentals and platforms

San Martín de los Andes requires a register for tourist rentals (Ordinance 13,393) and in 2026 signed an agreement with the hotel association, FEHGRA and Airbnb to identify unlicensed lodgings. Villa La Angostura suspended new tourist-rental licences in 2025. For a licensed property, showing it on its own site is also a way to stand out.

Questions

Do you work with hotels in Neuquén city?

Yes, remotely. For a work-travel hotel we build a fast-booking site with invoicing and corporate rates, connected to your engine.

And with cabins in San Martín de los Andes or Villa La Angostura?

Yes. There the focus is showing up on Google for what sets you apart (lake, pool, pets) and filling the low season.

Can the site be in Portuguese?

Yes. In winter much of the foreign tourism comes from Brazil, so we recommend it for snow-season properties.

How much does a hotel website in Neuquén cost?

A custom website costs between USD 1,000 and USD 5,000. It depends on languages, units, photos and SEO. We start with a free diagnosis and send a quote.
